ABOUT ELIZA
Eliza started harp lessons at age 5. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University, under the tutelage of Dr. Nicole Brady, with a Bachelor of Music degree in Harp Performance. Eliza is currently in New York University's Master of Music program.
Eliza was the recipient of a grant from BYU's Office of Creative Research, which enabled her to study the Russian Harp Method under Dr. Milda Agazarian and Irina Zingg. Her time at BYU also included courses in Harp Pedagogy, with a special emphasis in the Suzuki method. Eliza is a registered teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, having studied the method for harp under its founder, Mary Kay Waddington.
With extensive experience as both a performer and a teacher, Eliza has made achievments in harp including selection for the prestigious Harp Masters Pro 2014 workshop in Münchenbuchsee, Switzerland, regular performance at Salt Lake City's Grand America Hotel, recording sessions with the University of Arizona's 'Harp Fusion' ensemble, and numerous performances at BYU and NYU, both as a soloist and with orchestra.
In addition to playing the harp, Eliza enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and Yorkshire Terrier, Indy.
